Welcome to Wild Hive Photography! I’m Kayla, an unposed + candid photographer. I am a mom, writer, coffee enthusiast, book hoarder, and a lover of rain. My son Boone and daughter Nora are my favorite little models but, I am biased. They are the reason I started this adventure - my daily photographic journaling of their lives inspired me to offer that to others as well.
I draw inspiration from the details in every session and wedding. Those are the moments that are fleeting; the ones you want to look back on and remember. The intimate moments that provoke emotion, the ones that are flawlessly you, are the moments tailor-made to YOUR experience + what I'm there to capture (but don't worry, I know how to get in a direct for those insta worthy photos!).

When I'm not photographing your love stories you can find me planning my next getaway, cozied up on the couch watching Gilmore Girls for the 10th time, going on walks with my kiddos and our pups, visiting the farmer's market on Saturday mornings, or trying out local coffee shops (Flagpole in Treme is my fav so far).
